Mobil Siltac EAL 68 is a readily biodegradable, non-toxic chain saw lubricant. It is based on a blend of naturally occurring vegetable oils, latex and additives. Mobil Siltac EAL 68 has received the German “Blue Angel” approval for environmentally friendly products. It provides outstanding performance for use in the forestry industry and has been certified by the German Institute of Forestry (KWF). It is fully miscible with mineral oil products. However, when converting from mineral oil to Mobil Siltac EAL 68 precautions should be taken to avoid mixing since this will adversely affect biodegradability. It is recommended that the chain saw be cleaned after use followed by a brief period of running under no-load conditions so that the chain is covered with a film of lubricant which will protect it. For longer periods of storage a more thorough cleaning is recommended followed by the use of a rust preventive. 9083(1997) Health and Safety Based on available toxicological information, it has been determined that this product poses no significant health risk when used and handled properly.
